On May 15, 2009, Sponsored by Beijing Construction Engineering Materials Association Underfloor Heating Branch and Pipe and Pipe fittings Branch, supported by Experts Group of National Chemical Building Materials Coordination Group, China Real Estate Association, Beijing Technical Development Seminar of Underfloor Heating and Plastic Pipe has been convened in Beijing Construction Mansion. Leaders and experts concerned from China Construction Ministry, Beijing Construction Committee, Beijing Construction Engineering Materials Association and China Real Estate Association, presented and attended this seminar. CPPA Secretary General Zhanjie Wang attended this seminar on invitation.

Objectives of this seminar is to follow out the core of “2009 Energy Conservation in building & Building Materials Management Conference of Beijing Construction Committee”, and to implement the core of Construction Committee Document numbered 718 on reinforcing underfloor-heating plastc pipes management. This seminar probed into current economic situation, development direction of underfloor heating and plastic pipes, governmental policy steering and new products and technology development in underfloor heating and plastic pipe industry, consequently impel underfloor heating engineering and plastic pipe industry to develop soundly and rapidly.

At this seminar, Chairman of Beijing Construction Engineering Materials Association, Lichen Wang give a wonderful sppech with regard to the development direction of underfloor heating in Beijing, and concerning the important significance of completing industrial self-rugulaiton and enterprise integrity. He thought, only if enterprises recognize importance of the maxim: “Earnestly develop a product, carefully build an industry”, from this strategic point, action would be conscious, foresight would be broad, you would be not eager for instant seccess and quick profit.

Chief of Science Promotion Center of China Construction Ministry, Lixin Gao made a subject speech which focused on current development situation of construction energy conservation, and centred on development perspectives of underfloor heating. Underfloor heating industry lives up to health logos, developed rapidly in the last few years, and have tremendous advantages in energy conservation, market space and technology etc. By means of this industry features that is basis of further development, underfloor heating is highly appreciated by consumers.

Secretary General of Economy Cooperation Committee of China Real Estate Association, Shuping Jiang make a subject speech with regard to development of construction energy conservation and underfloor heating technology, development tendency of real estate market at present, and how to come to grips with the correlation between investment scale of real estate and reducing storage quantity of commodity house.

Chief of Beijing Constrution Energy Conservation & Building Materials Management Department Genli Zhu made a very important address concerning following out the core of 2009 Energy Conservation in building & Building Materials Management Conference of Beijing Construction Committee, and the core of Construction Committee Document numbered 718.

CPPA Secretary General Zhanjie Wang pointed out in his seminar address: China is the country whose output of plastic pipe rank first in the world; the yield in 2008 attained 4500,000 tons; the turnout of whole plastic pipe industry is 970,000 tons, shown signs of optimism, not bleak in slack season. In import and export of plastic pipes, though facing upward pressure on the RMB exchange rate, China export amount is added, and union price risen; in the case of drop of raw materials prices, augment of exports signifies competitiveness is boosted. As far as influence of finance crisis on plastic pipes industry concerned, Secretary General Wang said that influence of finance crisis on plastic pipes industry is mild, this industry still have corresponding advantage, and the percentage that plastic pipes export accounts for in national export volume will be added more and more..

Furthermore, Shaohong Xu, who is Chief of Underfloor Heating Branch of Beijing Construction Engineering Materials Association, and Doctor of Beijing Chemical University, introduced research and development of prefabricated thin underfloor heating board. With regard to new development of underfloor heating and plastic pipes technology, technical reports were respectively given by General Engineer of Beijing Architecture Design and Research Institute Minsheng Sun, Professor and Senior Engineer of Beijing Nonferrous Metallurgy Design and Research General Institute Youyuan Deng, Professor and Senior Engineer of National Plastic Products Supervision Inspection and Test Center Shansheng Liu, professor of Qinghua University Architecture Institute Hongfa Di, Senior Engineer of China Academy of Building Research Wei Huang, researcher of China Construction Building Science Jianqiang Qi Doctor, added up to eight experts.
